Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光触媒、光電極: 前田、岡(A01公募)、本郷(A01分担)らの協働により、パイロクロア構造を有するPb2Ti2O5.4F1.2が可視光応答可能な狭いバンドギャップを特異的に有し、可視光応答型光触媒となることを明らかとした。内本、片桐(A01公募)らが中心となり、Zn-Ga LDHと尿素の混合物から調製されたGaN:ZnO光触媒の合成メカニズムをXAFSと質量分析法により追跡したところ、Znシアナミド化合物が反応中間体として生成し、Gaを窒化することが明らかになった。
電池材料: 内本が中心となり、Ruddlesden-Popper型構造の酸フッ化物Sr2MO3F(M=Ni, Co, Mn)が電気化学的なフッ化物イオンの挿入脱離を可能とし、高い充放電容量を示すことを明らかにした。
蛍光体: 田部を中心として、Ce3+添加(Gd,Y)3(Al,Si)5(O,N)12ガーネット、Ce3+添加Sr3AlO4F蛍光体の開発に成功した。前者では、発光波長のレッドシフトと温度消光が酸化物より低温で起こることを明らかとし、後者では同型構造のSr2GdAlO5蛍光体と比較して、高温まで温度消光しにくいことを認めた。
磁性体: 松石らが先行して見出していた反強磁性絶縁体であるLaMnPOにおいて、酸素イオンの水素アニオン部分置換により強磁性金属に変化すること、および高水素置換領域ではさらに反強磁性金属に変化することを発見した。南部(A02公募)との協働による中性子回折測定によって、LaMnPO0.05H0.95ではMnAs層内でMnのスピンが強磁性配列、層間で反強磁性配列した新たな磁気構造であることを明らかとした。長谷川、関場(A02公募)らの協働により、酸素をドープした蛍石型NdD2エピタキシャル薄膜(NdD2Ox)を合成し、最高でTC~10 Kの強磁性を示すことを見出した。

Reason

上記の通り、A03班が関与した領域内共同研究は極めて活発に行われている。その結果として、2018年度内に出版した共著論文は40報以上になる。複合アニオン化合物の新規物理化学機能の創出という観点からも、これまでの光触媒研究で主たる探索ターゲットとなり得なかった酸フッ化物が、有望な可視光応答型光触媒になりうることを明らかにするなど、突出した成果が得られている。これらの事実から、本計画研究は順調に進展していると判断した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本計画研究は、班長の前田の統括の下、光触媒・光電極(前田)、二次電池活物質(内本)、蛍光体(田部)、誘電体・磁性体・薄膜材料(長谷川)、熱電材料(森)、超伝導(松石)の計6チーム、公募研究9件、さらにはA01班、A02班も含めた有機的連携に基づき推進していく。2019年度においては以下の研究を計画している。
(1)尿素窒化法による窒化物合成メカニズムを体系化するため、本法で調製可能なLaTiO2N等の酸窒化物について、XAFSによる反応機構解明を実施する。(内本、A01公募・片桐、A02分担・野田、前田)
(2)酸フッ化物Sr2MO3F(M=Ni, Co, Mn)におけるフッ化物イオン挿入脱離時の電荷補償機構、フッ化物イオンの挿入サイトを明らかにし、フッ化物イオン電池の新規電極材料設計のための知見を得る。(内本、A01分担・陰山、A01公募・辻本、前田)
(3)酸ハロゲン化物YOX:Eu3+の価電子帯のアニオンX置換による制御を目指し、第一原理による構造最適化およびフォノン計算によって安定な結晶構造について予測する。また発光スペクトルに基づいて局所構造について議論し、価電子帯制御による残光発現の可能性についても検討する。(田部、A01分担・本郷、A02公募・前園)
(4)非晶質複合アニオン化合物半導体薄膜を用い、フレキシブル熱電変換モジュールやInフリーの高移動度薄膜トランジスタなどのデバイスを実現する。また、XAFSなどの分光学的手法により組成・構造と電子状態や物性の関係を明らかにする。(長谷川、森、A02分担・吉田、A02公募・関場)
(5)高温熱電材料を複合アニオン化したことによる機械的特性などの効果を解明し、実用化へ向けて知財を創出確保するだけでなく、本材料を使用した熱電発電モジュールの試作と評価を実施する。(森)
