Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本課題では、単一ナノ微粒子の光圧測定のためAFMカンチレバーやグラフェン、或いは可視広域で透明な原子層膜(MoS2など)をバネにした精密光圧計測法を開発してきた。AFMカンチレバーを用いた場合では、ヘテロダイン技術(周波数変換技術)と周波数変調(FM)法に基づく方法(ヘテロダインFM法)により光熱効果による見かけの力と光誘起力を分離測定し、ロッド部と球状部分から成る複合量子ドットからの光誘起力を、1nmを切る分解能で空間分解することに成功し、理論計算によりこれを実証する事にも成功した。また、グラフェンのバネ上に量子ドットを配置することに成功し、配置部の周波数変位の空間分布を明らかにすることが出来た。さらに絶縁体のh-BNの誘電効果を用いたドラム型機械共振器の駆動に成功した。一方、ナノ粒子の運動観測においては、周囲流体が粒子に与える影響を考慮した粒子運動の可視化実験・理論解析の両面からアプローチし、光熱変換制御に着目した熱泳動力による粒子流の制御や光渦により誘起される粒子周辺の流動解析に成功した。また、粒径1μmの蛍光性ポリスチレン粒子の光捕捉過程の蛍光解析により光圧印可時における蛍光性粒子の熱対流挙動について考察し、単一粒子に働く散乱力を考慮することにより熱対流が促進されることを実験、計算の両方から明らかにした。理論面では、AFMカンチレバーによる光圧を用いた走査型顕微鏡の高い分解能の機構や光学禁制遷移を高分解能で観測できる可能性などが明らかにした。

Reason

理由
単原子層をバネとした精密光圧計測法に関しては単原子層上に量子ドットを配置し、配置部の周波数変位の空間分布を明らかにし、絶縁体のh-BNの誘電効果を用いたドラム型機械共振器の駆動にも成功するなど、単一ナノ構造の光圧計測の実現に順調に進んでいる。さらにナノ粒子の運動観測においては、光渦により誘起される粒子周辺の流動解析に成功するなど順調に成果が得られている。さらに金属コートしたAFM深針を用い、ヘテロダインFM法により光熱効果による見かけの力と光誘起力を分離測定することに成功した研究では、1nmを切る空間分解能が出ていることを理論・実験の両面で明らかにすることが出来たが、特にこの測定では光触媒機能を持たせた複合量子ドットの電子状態まで含めた情報を引き出しており、当初の計画を超えた成果が得られていると言える。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

「計画研究1」の具体的なミッションは
1.ナノ物質の光圧に対する理論の信頼性を高め、理論と計測結果を整合させること。
2.ナノ物質の光圧に対する計測技術を確立し、運動の予測と実験解析を可能にすること。
3.光圧下で運動するナノ物質の観測、及び流体媒質中での運動の解析技術を確立すること。
4.上記、1から3の結果を相互に整合させ、その知見と技術を班間共同研究に投入することである。この手段として、「微視的光学応答理論」、「AFMカンチレバーを利用した世界最高感度の力検出技術」、「カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)の機能的バネ振動を利用した世界最高精度の分子質量計測技術」、「超高感度分子トラッキング・可視化法」、「流体場を再現するマイクロ流路観測と数値計算を融合した独自の分子流体ハイブリッドシミュレーション」を投入し、光圧誘起運動への環境の影響を解析し、ナノ物質と環境の物理的・化学的相互作用の詳細を解明している。令和2年度は、現在の精密光圧計測の対象を単一分子とし、またこれまでに進めた光学応答理論、分子流体理論による解析、及び蛍光観測との整合性に関する検討をまとめ、光圧と各種環境での運動との相関についての知見をまとめることである。
