| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research unit aimed to contribute, both theoretically and empirically, to the project’s overall efforts to propose and establish a new relationalist perspective on the “global crises.” For the theory construction purposes, this unit proposed a comparative historical approach premised on diachronical-relationalist analysis. After organizing several international and domestic workshops to propose and discuss its original ideas and tentative research findings, the unit published its theoretical and empirical research contributions to the overall project in the form of a monograph (volume 2 of the global relationalist studies series). Upon its publication in February 2021, the research unit also held an open-to-public webinar in which all the chapter contributors participated as speakers along with three invited discussants.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
国家・組織・運動体や個人を「主体」視する伝統的な視座は根強く、4年半の研究プロジェクトの主宰と「グローバル関係学」シリーズ（全5巻）の出版で目的が容易に達成できたと考えるのは早計であり、今後とも社会科学的な「関係学」およびそのグローバル版としての危機の「グローバル関係学」の必要性と意義を唱道し続ける必要がある。拡散し重層化しながら錯綜する関係性から主体を含む残りの全てを構築する「関係学」をかねてより提起してきた欧米の社会学者や国際関係論の論者と世界的な研究ネットワークを構築し、さらなる唱道の努力が必要であるが、それへ向けた努力の日本国内における端緒をつけることはできたと考えている。
