Outline of Final Research Achievements	The principal investigator, subcontractors, and collaborators worked to develop this research by conducting field surveys once or twice a year while holding study groups in Japan. Four international workshops and symposiums on economic integration and development, commons and integration of humanities and sciences, migration, and rural areas and human mobility were held to disseminate research findings to the world. The major research achievements include "Linking the Local and the World" (Iwanami Shoten, 2020), which focuses on international NGOs, global organizations, and wide-area relationships and existence that are connected beyond national frameworks; From Mekong Commons to Mekong Community (Routledge, 2021), which focuses on the humanities and sciences with the commons as a keyword.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements	国際政治史からイスラーム社会運動、文明論、国際経済、市民社会論、文化人類学、環境農学と、極めて幅広い方法論を融合して展開される本研究が共有したのは、現象のグローバル性に加えて、方法論上のグローバル性である。グローバル化された社会を帰結としてではなく前提とし、アプローチ自体をグローバルな形で行う研究は、従来の研究方法には見られない。加えて、本研究は、文理融合型の体制をとり、問題解決の実践を研究計画内に織り込んでおり、応用型総合的社会科学を体現するものとなっている。
