Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1) 南極氷床モデリング:南極氷床モデルを用いた将来予測の国際プロジェクトISMIP6結果を含む海面上昇予想の論文を執筆、Nature誌より出版。さらに独自に長期将来実験を行い、将来の氷床変動について不確実性も含めて検討した。氷床変動再現実験のための接地線パラメタリゼーションを導入した氷床モデルSICOPOLISを用いて西暦2300までの予測実験を行い、2つ目の論文投稿を行い現在論文査読後リバイス中である。(2) 南極氷床の質量収支解析:近年の東南極域における涵養量の増加について、気候モデルや再解析データ、内陸での雪尺観測データを用いて要因を解析している。涵養量の増加イベントが気候モデルではどの程度捉えられているか引き続き調べ、気候が変化した際の頻度変化を検討した。 (3) 南大洋モデリング:底層水班で得られた海洋データを基に、気候モデルでの南極底層水形成過程を向上させた。高解像度海洋モデルを用いてより現実的な退氷期実験を検討し論文準備中である。気候モデル実験を海洋モデルと組み合わせて、退氷期の南極棚氷底面融解、 海洋物質循環、 南極底層水への影響を調べた。(4)海洋・炭素循環・生態系に関して、南極生態系タスクチームにおける他班との連携しながら海洋モデルによる将来予測実験を解析した。氷期のCO2のモデリングについて論文出版、その後氷期から退氷期の炭素循環に関する実験を引き続き実行し出版の準備中である。(5) 長期気候-氷床モデリング:大気海洋結合モデルMIROCの結果と南極氷床モデルを組み合わせた長期気候-氷床モデル実 験を開発検討した。気候モデルや高解像度海洋モデルから示される棚氷質量収支を入力として退氷期の南極氷床の再現を行った。南極氷床モデル結果を入力に固体地球モデルを動かし、観測と比較するなど氷床固体地球モデルに関する解析をさらに進め過去の氷床変動と固体地球変動のデータの解釈を行い出版につなげる。
