| Research Abstract |
We clarified the scope of vocabulary and kanji character commonly used in society through compilation of word lists and kanji character lists based on "Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese". We also built a corpus of elementary and middle school and high school textbooks, and made comprehensive lists of vocabulary and kanji character of the general public and school education. Then we studied the method to address challenges in the field of language policy and language education.
