金属ガラス/ナノ結晶粉末加熱による高密度バルク体の作製、構造変化と特性評価

Research Abstract

昨年度の研究において、本研究グループでは広い過冷却液体領域(ガラス遷移温度(Tg)から結晶化温度(T_x)までの温度範囲)を示す新しいNi基、Cu基及びZr基金属ガラス合金を開発した。加熱による高流動性を示すこれらの金属ガラス合金に対しマイクロ波焼結を行った。金属ガラス粉末の作製はガスアトマイズ法及びメカニカルアロイング法により行った。使用したマイクロ波加熱装置は電場と磁場分離でき、加圧可能なシングルモードマイクロ波焼結装置(5kW,915MHz)である。温度の制御は二種類(低温型:200-700℃;高温型:350-1600℃)のファイバ式放射温度計により行った。この装置を用いて、各種類金属材料、金属ガラス合金(Fe_<73>Si_7B_<17>Nb_3, Fe_<65>Co_<10>Ga_5P_<12>C_4B_4, Cu_<50>Zr_<45>Al_5, Ni_<65>Zr_<15>Nb_<10>Ti_<15> Ni_<59>Ti_<16>Zr_<20>Sn_5, Ni_<52.5>Zr_<15>Nb_<10>Ti_<15>Pt_<7.5>及びZr_<55>Cu_<30>Al_<10>Ni_5)、金属ガラスー結晶質複合材料等のマイクロ波誘起加熱による直径30mmの試料サイズにおける焼結挙動を検討した。金属ガラス粉末及びその複合粉末の焼結において、磁場での加熱効果が良好であることが明らかとなり、得られた焼結体の組織、機械的性質、熱的安定性等を詳細に検討した。またCu_<50>Zr_<45>Al_<5>金属ガラス-ポリマー複合材料及びその他の金属ガラス-ポリマー複合材料の開発も行った。Cu_<50>Zr_<45>Al_5金属ガラスの量比が大きい複合材料では、効率的な加熱ができ、均一構造の焼結体が得られた。金属ガラスとポリマー粒子間は良好な接合状態を有していた。ポリマー量比が大きい場合、傾斜構造の金属ガラス複合焼結体が形成された。さらに、MgH_2の水素放出・吸蔵のサイクルを達成することができ、マイクロ波照射プロセスを用いた効率的水素貯蔵システム構築の可能性を確認した。
