金属ガラス/ナノ結晶粉末加熱による高密度バルク体の作製、構造変化と特性評価

Research Abstract

平成22~23年度の研究において、Cu基、Ni基、Ti基、Fe基金属ガラス粉末及びポリマー粉末、結晶金属粉末など添加材として混合粉末(約10-100μm)を用いて、マイクロ波誘起加熱による直径30mmの試料サイズの金属ガラスおよびその複合材料を開発した。このマイクロ波誘起加熱と焼結プロセッシングは電場-磁場の分離可能、アルミナ加圧力装置を付設、真空或は不活性ガス雰囲気中で焼結可能な新規マイクロ波焼結装置(1-5kW,915MHz)を使用して行った。作製した焼結体は組織、構造、密度、機械的性質、磁気的性質、熱的安定性、錯体水素化物のマイクロ波吸収特性などを検討した。また、今年度では、3.11東日本巨大地震による壊れたマイクロ波焼結装置(1-5kW,915MHz)の修理、追加試験も行った。加圧力を約5MPaとし、ガラス遷移温度付近で焼結すれば、ポーラス金属ガラス焼結体が作製出来た。金属ガラスーポリマーの混合粉末の焼結では、金属ガラスの量比が大きい場合、効率的な加熱ができ、均一構造の焼結体が得られた。金属ガラスとポリマー粒子間は良好な接合状態を有していた。ポリマー量比が大きい場合、傾斜構造の金属ガラス複合焼結体が形成された。また、結晶金属粉末(例えば、Al粉末)と金属ガラスの混合粉末のマイクロ波加熱では、磁場で急速的昇温ができ、ポーラス材料の開発に成功した。水素貯蔵材料のマイクロ波照射において、迅速かつ低エネルギーでの水素放出が達成することができ、マイクロ波照射プロセスを用いた効率的水素貯蔵システム構築の可能性を確認した。
