Research Abstract |
We have studied the physical mechanisms of microwave heating of dielectric and magnetic materials as well as non-magnetic metallic powders by means of classical and quantum mechanical molecular dynamics simulations, analytical electromagnetic wave theory. Such heating occurs by non-resonant absorption and accumulation of microwave electric and/or magnetic energies over many wave periods.
