Research Abstract

ガンマ線バースト(以後GRBと略称)の起源の総合的な理解を進めるため、研究代表者がテレビ会議を中心に全体を総括しながら、各分野で以下のような成果を上げる事ができた。
1)米徳関係式やAmati関係式は有望な距離指標候補であるが、これらに進化効果や観測によるバイアス効果がないか調べた結果2σレベルではないことが分かった。データの精度が10%レベルのものに絞り、光度をGRB静止系で決めるとReduced χが1.3のTypeIa超新星に匹敵する改良版の米徳関係式を得た。
2)分担者の大向らの研究によって、宇宙で最初に生まれる初代星は非常に巨大であることが示唆されている。井岡はGRBのジェットが巨大な星を突き破って初代GRBになりえることを明らかにした。予想される光度や継続時間は観測を行う計画研究A01,02への指針となった。3)大向はメタルがゼロの星形成で、先に出来た原始星の光によるフィードバック効果を調べた。その結果降着円盤が原始星の輻射による蒸発して、最終的にできる星は太陽質量の40倍程度であることが判明した。4)長滝は回転するブラックホールに星の外層が降り積る過程を一般相対論的なMHDコードで数値シミュレーションを行った。その結果、Blandford-Znajeck効果により、ブラックホールの回転角速度大きいほど、大きなエネルギーがジェットとなって放出されることを示した。5)山崎はGRBのshallow decay phaseを説明するために、既にtwo jets modelを提案したが、モデルの予言について考察した。GRB本体のガンマ線放射は、先行する「ジェット1」においついたときに、これらの高エネルギー電子によって逆コンプトン散乱を受け、さらに高エネルギーのGeV-TeV帯域のガンマ線を放射する可能性があり、Fermi衛星で観測可能な事が分かった。
