Research Abstract |
We report experimental accomplishments obtained through the study of light-induced precession of magnetization in ferromagnetic (Ga, Mn) As. In particular, non-thermal influence of optical excitation, coherent control of magnetization with two optical pulses, control of precession frequency, and optical generation of spin-current are described. Progress in the preparation and characterization of lateral-type spin LED is also described.
