Research Abstract

本研究では,フォトクロミック化合物を用いて光エネルギーを力学的エネルギーに変換する新しい光運動材料を開発し,三次元光アクチュエーターなどへ応用することを目的としている。架橋液晶高分子中にフォトクロミック分子であるアゾベンゼンを導入し,フィルムや繊維状などさまざまな形状に加工することにより,屈曲・伸縮・回転など多様な運動モードを実現できる光アクチュエーターへの展開を試みる。光を照射すると運動する架橋フォトクロミック液晶高分子を用いることにより,バッテリー・電極・配線などが不要な軽量小型の光アクチュエーターが実現する。
