Research Abstract

配列ナノ空間をもつナノカーボンを合成し、エネルギーデバイスに応用することが目的である。配列空間をもつナノカーボンとして剣山状のナノカーボン膜を合成する。剣山状ナノカーボンはカーボンナノチューブあるいはカーボンナノロッドが針となったカーボン構造体である。このように極めて制御された配列ナノ空間をもつ数cm角の剣山状のナノカーボン膜を高分子電解質型燃料電池と色素増感太陽電池の電極として利用する。そこで、性能を最大限にするための構造の最適化を進めるとともにその過程を通じて複雑な電池反応の理解を深める。さらに、平成22年度からは配位ナノ空間を有するカーボンナノネットワーク構造体を合成し、その規則的なナノ空間構造に起因する特異な電子状態を解析する。それとともに超高容量電気二重層キャパシタの電極としての可能性を探る。
