Research Abstract

本特定領域で創製される配列ナノ空間を有する新物質を対象に、最新の放射光X線散乱実験技術を駆使してその精密構造を決定し、構造的観点から新物質相の電子状態と量子物性の発現機構を明らかにすることを目的として、(1)粉末回折法による構造研究、(2)単結晶を用いた精密測定を利用した電子密度解析を行っている。放射光X線回折実験はSPring-8 において、粉末測定はBL02B2、単結晶測定はBL02B1において行っている。
平成20年度末に導入されたBL02B1の単結晶専用X線回折装置を用いて、平成22年度までの間にSPring-8の放射光の質の検証と、測定技術の確立を行う立ち上げ作業を行った。領域内との共同研究を通して粉末試料、単結晶試料のどちらかを使ってクラスレート、金属内包フラーレンなど配位空間物質の解析を行っている。
