本研究では、量子論に基づく全エネルギー計算の手法を用いて、新奇ナノチューブの物質設計と物性解明、ならびにナノチューブ/異種物質界面の物性解明を目的としている。特に、ネットワーク形状の制御による、ナノチューブ状物質における新奇物性発現の可能性探索と、種々のナノチューブハイブリッド構造の安定性と物性解明を行う
