Research Abstract |
Chk1 is a protein kinase implicated in DNA maintenance checkpoint. Chk1 function is regulated through the phosphorylation of its regulatory domain. However, only ATR was long believed to functionally regulate Chk1. In this study, we have demonstrated that a variety of protein kinases phosphorylate and thereby regulate Chk1. In addition, we have also shown novel Chk1 function at the G0/G1 transition.
