Research Abstract

We found that cytokinins are the main regulators for the activity of cambium, and that cytokinin responses are regulated by chromatin remodeling factors and TAFs. We also worked on the regulation of meristematic cells in the leaf epidermis. We identified a secretory peptide EPF2, which functions as a negative feedback regulator for stemness of the meristemoid mother cells. EPF1 and EPF2 information was transmitted through a MAP kinase cascade. We also found that this MAP kinase cascade integrate developmental program and stress signaling.
