Research Abstract

シロイヌナズナ胚発生で作られる茎頂と根端のメリステムが種子成熟に伴って休眠し、発芽後に栄養メリステムとして活動を開始する一連の過程は、ステージ特異的転写因子、植物ホルモンや栄養シグナルによって制御されている。LEC 転写因子群などによる種子成熟に至る転写カスケードの解明が進む中、種子成熟プログラムの停止・不活性化と栄養生長への転換に関わる転写制御機構は不明である。本研究では、HSI2サブファミリーB3転写抑制因子の標的遺伝子への作用機構の解析を通して、胚性から栄養メリステムへの転換における遺伝子発現の制御と植物ホルモンや栄養シグナルの情報統御を明らかにする。また、ゲノム維持因子TONSOKU(TSK)やTEBICHI(TEB)がメリステム維持に担う役割を、遺伝学的解析やインフォマティックス手法などを用いて明らかにする。
