Outline of Annual Research Achievements

電荷液晶に関して、様々な物質で電荷液晶に関連する現象を見出した。カゴメ超伝導体CsV3Sb5における弾性抵抗測定および磁気トルク測定により、電流ループ秩序状態を示唆する奇パリティの量子液晶状態を見出した。また、分光イメージングSTMにより、ノーダルライン半金属ZrSiS、NaAlSiでそれぞれネマテック、スメクティックな電荷液晶状態を発見した。
スピン液晶に関しては、キタエフ量子スピン候補物質RuCl3におけるマヨラナ準粒子発現に関する知見が深まった。低エネルギー励起の磁場角度分解精密比熱測定を希釈冷凍機温度まで拡張した結果、熱ホール効果の符号反転と関連するギャップレス励起を見出した。この結果は、マヨラナ準粒子の存在を決定づける。この他、NMR実験を高純度試料や低磁場の磁気秩序相で行った。また、希土類化合物における量子スピン起源の結晶非整合磁気構造探索に成果があった。
電子対液晶では、いわゆるボゴリューボフフェルミ面が期待されている正方晶Fe(Se,S)の面内磁場下での強磁場輸送測定から、熱的渦糸液体から量子渦糸液体へのクロスオーバーと、ガウス型揺らぎとは異なる巨大な超伝導揺らぎの存在を明らかにした。また、グラフェン上に作製した単層NbSe2超伝導体のボゴリューボフ準粒子干渉効果から、グラフェンとNbSe2の捻り角によって超伝導状態を制御可能であることを発見した。
手法開発では、大型施設であるX線自由電子レーザーを用いないで軟X線領域の超高速時間分解測定を行うための実験室系高次高調波発生のビームライン建設を終え、実際に高次高調波の観測に成功した。60 eV程度までの軟X線パルスが得られている。また、THz-STMの時間分解能評価を行い、THzパルスのみで約30 pAのトンネル電流の直流成分が得られること、時間分解能250 fsが得られることを確認した。
