Research Abstract

本計画研究は、核移植クローン技術と分子生物学的解析技術を組み合わせることにより、生殖細胞特有の全能性獲得に関わるゲノム構造あるいは機能を明らかにすることを目的とする。本研究では、全能性獲得の機構(あるいはその準備)こそが次世代にゲノムを伝える生殖細胞の本質であるとの認識をもとに、それがいつどのように生じるか、そしてその際にゲノム上にどのようなエピジェネティクス変化が起こっているかを明らかにする。生殖細胞ゲノムが正常にリプログラミングされるためのいくつかの条件が明らかにされ、さらにそれを体細胞クローンの改善により証明できた。最終的には、体細胞ゲノムの初期化の人為的制御を目指したい。
