Research Abstract

量子力学の非局所相関を利用した超並列の情報処理や究極の信頼性を保証する暗号通信を可 能とする量子情報技術は未来技術として期待か大きい。ここで必須となる、単一光子光やエンタンクル光を発生するためには、光と物質の相互作用を究極的に制御する必要かある。究極の 制御の本質は、光を微小な空間に閉しこめる技術と、その空間に物質系の強い非線形性や光増 幅機能なとの能動機能を誘起することであり、フレークスルーとなる物質科学の展開か待たれている状況である。本領域で追求する多体電子正孔系に内在する相関効果はこれらの際だった光効果を発現する潜在力を有する。本課題では、A02・A04班との密接な協力により、電子系の多体相関効果を活用して新しい量子光学光源を得る技術を開拓する。具体的には、ナノ構造を利用したモード純度の高い微小共振器レーザー、量子ドット中の多励起子相関を利用したエンタングル光子対発生、増強した非線形性によるカー効果デバイス、量子縮退した励起子あるいは励起子分子系を用いた広帯域光パラメトリック過程や2光子増幅の活用である。量子情報技術としてのニーズを物質科学の研究者にフィードバックすることで、次世代技術である量子情報技術に資する光物質科学の展開に貢献する。
