Research Abstract

π電子共役・分子トポロジー・分子サイズなどの面で斬新なポルフィリノイドの開発とその集積化による機能開拓を目的とする。とくに次の2つの項目について重点的に取り組む。(1)π電子共役・分子構造と2光子吸収断面積の関係の理解を目指し、巨大な2光子吸収断面積を持つ共役ポルフィリンアレーや環拡張ポルフィリンを開発する。(2)メビウス芳香族性は、捻れたメビウストポロジー上でπ電子数が4nで芳香族になるという、全く新しいπ電子共役・分子トポロジーであり、その物性については全く未開拓であるため、集中的な研究を行う。メビウス芳香族分子の更なる合成法の探索、捻れたπ電子系特有の光・電子物性を解明、柔軟なコンフォメーションを生かしたキラル分子認識への展開、トポロジー制御などを研究する。
