Research Abstract

分子ナノシステムの創発化学における自己組織化の役割を明らかにする。すなわち、分子から分子ナノシステムへの創発と、分子ナノシステムの機能の創発、という2つの大きな学理的課題を体系化するための熱力学的基礎研究を行う。
具体的には、エントロピー生成を基軸に据え、自己組織化を熱力学的立場から一元的に捉える学理の充実を図る。平行して、時空間的ゆらぎの下でのコロイド系の秩序化条件を実験的に探り、熱力学的議論と対照して、数理科学的アプローチの有用性と限界を意識した研究を展開する。
