Research Abstract

ウイルス殻構造の生成過程に見られるように、生物は数百の(場合には千を超える)成分を弱い分子間相互作用のみで集合させ、巨大でかつ安定な一義構造体を構築している。このような自己集合は、構成成分の構造や外部環境(pHなど)のわずかな変化に極めて敏感な創発性の高い現象である。人工系ではこれまで、たかだか20~30成分の自己集合が達成されているにすぎない。本研究では、金属イオン(M)と架橋配位子(L)の組み合わせを精査し、M_nL_<2n>組成(n:最大60)のアルキメデス準正多面体の創発的自己組織化を達成する。
