Research Abstract

異なる種類のRNAは、固有の輸送因子群が核内で結合した後、細胞質へと輸送される。核内でそれぞれのRNAに結合する因子群は、核外輸送を司るだけでなく、核外輸送後のそれぞれのRNAの運命をも規定する。他方、核外輸送されずに核内の様々なドメインに輸送されるRNAも存在するし、未成熟RNAは成熟化するまで核の中に留められる。このような選択的RNA分配制御は遺伝子発現に非常に重要であるが不明な点が多い。本研究では、主として核外輸送におけるRNAの識別機構とmRNA前駆体の核内保持機構の2つに焦点を当て、RNA分配制御における識別機構を明らかにする。
