Research Abstract

細胞の消化器官であるリソソームへは細胞外からエンドサイトーシス経路、細胞質からオートファジー経路が物質を運び込み、それらの物流システムによって、何が・いつ・どれだけ分解されるかが巧妙に調節されている。本研究では、細菌や損傷を受けたオルガネラなどの排除に働くオートファジーの作動・制御機構を明らかにし、感染症や発がんなどの病態理解を促進する。特異的薬剤が知られていないオートファジーの促進剤・阻害剤を低分子化合物スクリーニングにより同定する。エンドサイトーシス経路については、既に同定した制御タンパク質の機能解析等を行う。
