Research Abstract

To elucidate molecular mechanisms of gene expression regulation in cell differentiation during early development of mammals, we tried to establish new visualizing system of changes inchromatin structure in combination with directed induction of differentiation from human pluripotent stem cells. We also analyzed early cleavage stage embryo by using live cell imaging system.

• [Remarks] 報道関連,山縣らは、マウス体細胞クローンの低い成功率の原因が、初期胚における卵割時の染色体分配異常に起因することを発見した。この研究成果は、将来高効率なクローン動物作製につながるだけでなく、不妊症解明の基礎的知見として重要であると判断したため、新聞発表を行った(下、新聞記事1)。朝日新聞以外にも、毎日新聞と読売新聞の全国版、神戸新聞、茨城新聞等の地方新聞や各種専門新聞に同様の記事が掲載された。
