| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
福岡および南西に170km離れた風上域にある福江島において測定された週平均の微小粒子状物質(PM2.5)の組成を比較し、九州北部での都市大気中濃度における長距離輸送分の寄与を見積もった。PM2.5中の(硫酸塩)SO42-濃度は年間を通じて福江島と福岡ではほぼ同じである。これに対して、PM2.5中の(硝酸塩)NO3-の濃度は福江島と福岡では大きく異なり、福江島での微小粒子領域のNO3-濃度はきわめて低く、一方、福岡では寒候期にPM2.5濃度の5～10%を占める程度まで上昇する。これより、PM2.5中の主要成分のうち硫酸塩は広域的汚染、すなわち域外からの長距離輸送に事実上支配されているが、硝酸塩は福岡で発生した都市大気汚染によるものが主体であるといえる。また、福岡では粒子状有機物(TOT-OCより計算)も長距離輸送分が大部分を占めるが、夏季は都市大気汚染による生成分が加わる状況が判明した。
観測された多環芳香族炭化水素(PAH)の発生源情報を含む指標(FLT/FLT+PYR)の福岡市と福江島での季節変化を比べたところ(FLTはフルオランテン、PYRはピレンを表す)、福岡および福江島で観測されたPAHは、いずれも春・冬には石炭由来の成分に富み、夏には石油由来の成分に富んでいた。PAH総量としては福岡と福江島ではきわめて類似した季節変化が見られ、福岡で観測されるPAHのうち無視できない割合を長距離輸送の成分が占めることを示している。
レーザーイオン化マス・スペクトルメータを用いた個別粒子の組成の測定結果から、2010年春季の集中観測期間(2週間)のうちPbを含む粒子を重点的に解析したところ、Pbは多くの場合K, Fe, Na, Znなどと内部混合していることが分かった。石炭燃焼実験で得られたものと同様のスペクトルは観測期間中の全含Pb粒子の春季32%、冬季33%に含まれていた。
