Research Abstract

サンゴ礁は、地球規模(温暖化による水温上昇,海洋酸性化等)と地域規模(陸源負荷等)両方のストレスによって近年急速に衰退していることが指摘されている。しかしながら、現地の情報は断片的で定量性に欠けており、実海域でのストレス低減に関して具体的な数値を示すことができない。本研究においては、客観的なデータ(空中写真、衛星データ、地図、報告書データ、サンゴ年輪解析データ)に基づいて過去100年間のストレス要因とサンゴ礁の歴史的変化を統一的に解析し、さらに負荷の程度の異なる地域を比較することにより、ストレスの増加とサンゴ礁の衰退を検証する。
