Outline of Annual Research Achievements

矮小衛星銀河の密度プロファイルの見積もりを、構造形成のモデルと詳細なジーンズ解析を用いてより精密化した結果を得た(Horigome et al., 2023, Phys. Rev. D 108, 083530)。この結果により、WIMPダークマターの対消滅弾面積に対して最も正確な上限値が得ることができる。また密度プロファイルに加えて、速度空間におけるダークマター粒子やサブハローの分布も議論することで、構造形成の本質により深く迫る研究を行なった(Enomoto et al., ApJ 950, L13; MNRAS 527, 7523)。
宇宙背景ニュートリノがダークマター分布に及ぼす影響(またその逆も)を理論的に調べて二つの論文を出版した。これらは、この分野の主要な論文誌であるJCAPの20周年記念の特別号に招待記事として出版された(Akita, Ando, 2023, JCAP 2311, 037; Zimmer et al., 2023, JCAP 2311, 038)。
その他、すばるHyper Supreme-Camの観測において、構造形成の観点から理論的な貢献をし、複数の論文を出版するに至った(Phys. Rev. D, 108, 123518-123521)。さらに修正重力理論に関しても、レビュー記事を執筆、出版した(Arai, S., et al., 2023, PTEP 2023 072E01)。

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.

Reason

CDM, WDM, SIDM, FDMのすべてのダークマター候補について、研究提案書に記載していた通りの進展を見せている。WDM, SIDMについてはベースとなるサブハローのモデルを完成させており、シミュレーションと合わせてさらなる精密化を測る段階にきている。FDMに関しても準解析的モデルの開発や観測からの制限など複数のアプローチを試みている。CDMは計画開始段階ですでに開発済みであった準解析モデルを用いて、さまざまな角度からの制限を含めた理論研究を推し進めており、独創的な結果をいくつも得ている。
当初の計画以上に進展した側面としては、ダークマターに限らず関連するさまざまな物理に関しても構造形成を通じて重要な示唆を与え続けていることが挙げられる。例えば、サブハローの準解析的モデルを用いることでインフレーションからの予言を検証したり、修正重力理論を議論したりなどである。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

最終年度ではWDMの準解析的モデルを、シミューレションとの比較・校正を完成させる予定である。同時に、通常のN体シミュレーションでおこる小スケールでの統計ノイズの問題を払拭すべく導入した、Vlasov方程式の数値的アプローチを継続して研究していき、N対シミュレーションとの比較検討を行う。またSIDMに対する準解析的モデルを開発し、重力レンズなどの観測量を用いてSIDM粒子の性質を制限することを計画している。FDMへの制限も準解析的モデルを用いて衛星銀河の観測などからの制限を議論していく。
