Research Abstract

Concerning the "Hybrid Quantum Systems": many important results such as resonant florescence with solid state quantum system were obtained with superconducting artificial atom based quantum optics; concerning the hybrid of superconducting artificial atoms and microscopic quantum systems, important results were obtained under the interdisciplinary collaborations within the project. In the direction of "Superconducting qubit state control, observation, coupling and noise", significant results such as quantum non-demolition state single-shot observation, high precision state control, and creation of novel qubit coupling schemes were achieved. For the "Novel Discoveries", notable discovery of the coherent quantum phase slip in the superconducting thin wire are accomplished.
