Research Abstract |
The mass generation mechanism of hadrons due to the spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry in QCD, which is proposed by Nambu, are widely accepted. In order to verify this idea experimentally, we will measure the mass modification of vector mesons in nuclei systematically with the best mass-resolution and statistics in the world. We have developed and made detectors using GEM, namely, GEM Tracker and Hadron-blind Cherenkov detector, to perform a new experiment E16 at J-PARC Hadron experimental facility. The first beam will be delivered in 2016.
