Research Abstract |
南海トラフ地震発生帯掘削ステージ1(平成19年9月21日~平成20年2月5日)で採取された既存泥質試料の現有試験機による摩擦・透水実験を実施し、以下の成果を得た。 1)室温、封圧50MPa、含水条件における低速(1~10μm/s)摩擦実験では、摩擦係数が約0.4で速度強化(変位速度上昇に伴い摩擦強度増加)の挙動が認められた。 2)室温、垂直応力約5MPa、乾燥条件における中速~高速(30μm/s~1.3m/s)摩擦実験では、摩擦係数が0.4~0.6で、3cm/s以下の変位速度では速度強化の挙動が、一方3cm/s以上の変位速度では顕著な速度弱化(変位速度上昇に伴い摩擦強度低下)の挙動が認められた。 3)室温、垂直応力0.6~1.8MPa、含水条件における高速(1.3m/s)摩擦実験では、定常状態における摩擦係数がほぼゼロに近く垂直応力依存性も殆ど認められないことから、液状化していると判断された。実験中の温度と間隙水圧の上昇が確認されており、摩擦熱で間隙水圧が上昇する熱加圧により、摩擦強度の著しい低下と液状化が起こったと結論される。 4)有効圧3~30MPaの範囲では、透水係数は10^<-17>~10^<-18>m^2であった。予備実験から、この程度の透水係数だと断層変形によって透水係数が増加すると予想される。 また、別予算で製作していたガス圧式高温高圧三軸試験機に、試験機制御用サーボシステムを付加した。この試験機とサーボシステムは、平成22年3月31日に千葉大学に設置された。試験機は来年度以後、掘削試料の低速摩擦実験に使用する予定である。
