Research Abstract

We synthesized cylindrical hollow structured nanotubes and core-shell structured nanoclusters by function hierarchical organization of plural proteins. New functionalities based on molecular arrangements appeared, and functional molecular systems have been constructed. The results on (i) artificial metalloproteins, (ii) protein nanotubes, and (iii) protein clusters were published as 22 research papers. Topics were highlighted by newspapers and Chemistry World (Royal Society of Chemistry), and are attracted considerable attention.
