| Research Abstract |
鳴子火山周辺の地殻内の流体分布を解明するために、これまで取得したデータについて3次元構造解析を進め、地震波（S波）トモグラフィーの結果と比較した。地震波トモグラフィーでは中部地殻で向町カルデラから三途川カルデラ一帯の広範囲に連続的に低速度異常が見いだせるが、比抵抗モデルでは向町カルデラの低比抵抗異常は顕著であるが、三途川カルデラの低比抵抗異常は顕著ではない。これは地殻流体の塩濃度の違いによるものと考えられる。また鳴子東西断面についても、地震波トモグラフィーでは低速度異常が20km以深から存在するのに対して、比抵抗では深度10km以深から低比抵抗が見いだされ、深度10kmから微量の高塩濃度の流体が有効にネットワークを形成していることが示唆される。
また広域長周期MTデータの３次元解析からは、沈み込む太平洋スプレート上に下端を持つ低比抵抗体が解析された。この低比抵抗体の上端の一つは東北脊梁の火山に至り、さらにそれが背弧側にに分岐して日本海側の火山に至ることがイメージされた。この結果は日本海側の背弧火山の成因を示唆する重要な結果である。
岩石実験に関しては、地殻の主要鉱物の１つである斜長石の端成分であるアルバイトに流体を加えた系で電気伝導度測定を行なった。この系での実験は、流体中で移動度の高いアルカリイオンの電気伝導度の影響を調査することを目的としており、さらに塩水を加えたときの効果も調査した。塩水の効果は非常に大きく、電気伝導度は塩濃度の上昇、流体量の増加にともなって大きくなる結果が得られた。また温度依存性が小さいため、低温でも非常に高い電気伝導度値が得られた。上部地殻を代表する花崗岩のようにアルカリ性分を含む岩石が流体を含む場合、地殻で観測されている高電気伝導度異常は水に富む流体の存在で説明できる。
