Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究計画の第1段階として、既存試験機を用いた流体下での断層強度回復試験と粉粒体系の変形実験、低速・中速-高速摩擦実験の開始、非接触ひずみ変位システムと大型実験用AE計測プリアンプ、数値計算用ワークステーションを用いたスケール・形状効果を定量化する実験環境の整備を行った。
水圧―トルク制御式摩擦試験機をもちいた強度回復実験について、実験環境を整え標準試料を用いた予備試験を開始した。実験に使用するテフロンホルダを製作し、流量を1cc/minの等流量環境でのスライド-ホールド-スライドテストを実施しデータを取得した。粉体-流体混相系の単純せん断破壊試験では、試験実施に向け、同軸二重円筒型試験機のセットアップと予備実験を行った。人工粒子などを用い、混相系のレオロジー特性を調査した。また、低速度摩擦試験と中-高速摩擦試験では、幅広いすべり速度と大変位量の条件下における流体圧下にある断層の摩擦特性、構造発達の解明のための実験装置環境整備と、模擬断層物質を用いた予備実験を継続して実施した。長大岩石摩擦試験では実験試料に歪、変位、AEセンサーを設置し、予備実験をおこなって感度調整するとともにスロースリップから震源核形成へ遷移する際のデータを取得・解析した。機械式大型粉粒体圧縮装置(砂箱装置)については、解析装置の導入・整備と予備実験を継続し、実験後の試料について非接触ひずみ解析(DIC)とX線CTスキャンを実施した。
また、2次元動的地震サイクルシミュレーションでは、一様な定常滑りが安定なケースを基準とし、摩擦に関する物性値の不均質の振幅が小さいケースに関しての数値実験を継続した。非平衡物理モデリングでは、断層滑りによって間隙水圧が動的に変化する効果を系統的かつ端的に理解するためのプロトタイプモデルを構築した。

Reason

コロナ禍の影響も残り、研究集会の開催回避や資材不足による実験消耗品の納入遅れなども生じた。そのため旅費・消耗品費の繰越が生じたが、それぞれ会議のオンライン化や実験環境整備に注力したことで大きな遅れは生じなかった。

おおむね計画通りの進展であるため、予定通り各実験の実施に移行する。
