Research Abstract

本研究では、様々な意味でのダイナミクスに特に重点を置き、フォノン・熱、イオン伝導、スピン、電子励起等との絡み合いや、より実際に近いモデル化にも注意を払いながら、ナノスケール電気伝導のより深い理解を目指した理論解析と、そのための計算プログラム開発を進めてきた。平成23年度には、(1)原子空孔を含む金属カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)について、DCコンダクタンスは空孔位置に依らないのに対し、交流印加時の電流電圧位相差は空孔位置に強く依存することを見出した、(2)印加電圧の立ち上がり時間を考慮した量子ドット系の過渡応答特性解析により、電流オーバーシュートが立ち上がり時間の増加と共に減少し、その最大値への到達時間が長くなること等を明らかにした、(3)C60堆積膜について、金属的な伝導特性を示すポリマー化構造を明らかにし、この構造が走査トンネル分光の実験結果と整合することを示した、(4)光照射を利用してグラフェンの電気伝導性を変調できる可能性を示し、光照射によって明瞭なスイッチングを行うのに必要なチャネル長についての指針を得た、(5)レーザーパラメータとグラフェンナノリボン電子状態がグラフェンナノリボンのレーザー刺激電界電子放射特性に与える影響を明らかにした、(6)レーザーで励起された原子に働く力の効率的計算手法を開発し、ベンゼン分子等に適用して原子間距離や分子振動数の実験値をよく再現できることを確認した、(7)InAs/AlSb量子井戸構造において、2つの井戸層/障壁層界面が異なる界面構造を持つ場合には、量子井戸に電界が印加されていなくても実効的なスピン分離が生じること、またそのスピン分離は外部電界によっても制御可能であること等を明らかにした、等の成果を得た。

Reason

交付申請書に記載したいずれの項目についてもプログラム開発と計算・解析が進んだ。大規模系の交流応答計算プログラム等、進捗が遅れている項目もあるが、解析が予定以上に進んだ項目もあるため、全体としては順調といえる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

線形応答での交流応答特性、レーザー照射による電子励起・原子相関ダイナミクス等、プログラム開発が進んだ項目は、具体的な対象の解析に注力する。線形応答を超えた交流応答特性、電子-フォノン相互作用を考慮した過渡応答、ノンコリニア磁性やスピン軌道相互作用を考慮した電子輸送特性等については、プログラム開発を引き続き推進する。
