Outline of Annual Research Achievements

密度汎関数法と強相関模型解法の融合により、強相関電子系を第一原理的に扱う標準手法が大きく前進した。この手法を多彩な強相関電子系に適用し、物理の解明に成功してきている。平成26年度はこの手法を応用して2つのイリジウム化合物に焦点を当てスピン軌道相互作用の強い物質群で見られるトポロジカルな性質が物性に重要な役割を果たす物質群への適用を進めた。また鉄系超伝導体の機構を解明した。またフラーレン化合物に密度汎関数摂動理論を適用して電子格子自由度を含む有効ハミルトニアンを導き、これを動的平均場近似で解いて、超伝導機構を解明した。大きな進展のあった課題を挙げる。
方法論の開発:(1) 第一原理的に競争関係で電子格子相互作用を扱う方法の開発この手法開発では大局電子構造から密度汎関数摂動論を用いて、電子格子相互作用のある低エネルギー有効模型を導く手法と電子光自由度を持つ有効模型を解く部分の両方で進展があった。(2)スピン軌道相互作用の強い系の手法を発展させた。
手法の応用:上記手法を応用して以下の成果を得た。(1)鉄系超伝導体の超伝導機構の解明(2)イリジウム酸化物、特にNa2IrO3の磁性、熱力学的性質の第一原理的解明とキタエフスピン液体実現への提案。パイロクロア型酸化物の磁壁が示すトポロジカルな伝導現象の予言。(3)アルカリドープしたフラーレン化合物の超伝導機構の第一原理的解明(4)ネオジウム鉄強磁性体R(Fe,Ti)12, R(Fe,Ti)12N (R=Nd, Sm, Y)の磁性と構造物性の解明(5)1成分有機伝導体の電子状態解明(6)有機強誘電体TTF-CAの電子状態と強誘電機構解明(7)フント金属SrMoO3の電子状態解明(8)光電子分光による鉄系超伝導体の非等方ギャップの解明
