Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the present study, innovative synthetic reactions were developed based on the generation of novel reactive transition metal species using easily available hydrocarbons as starting material. Various useful reactions such as carbon-carbon bond forming reactions based on electrophilic activation of alkynes and allenes, PSiP-pincer palladium catalyzed dehydrogenative borylations, rhodium catalyzed direct carboxylation of aromatic C-H bonds, and generation of alkyl radicals from aldehydes using cobalt-salen complexes, and so on were realized. Exploration of the mechanism of these reactions clarified further unique characteristics of these reactions.
