Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は立ち上げの年として,総括班と密接に連絡を取りながら研究体制の整備,博士研究員の選考を行い,また物性物理学の分野全体に貢献できるよう広報,情報公開,及び公募研究募集の準備を行った。
研究面では,これまで行ってきた多層畳み込みニューラルネットワークによるランダムな波動関数の分類を発展させ,auto encoderを用いて波動関数のイメージを生成することに成功した。これにより,数千次元のベクトルで表される波動関数のイメージを数次元に次元圧縮できるようになった。この次元圧縮した波動関数は機械学習の方法,例えばk-meanや混合ガウス分布により分類可能となる。これより教師データなしで波動関数を分類できるようになった。また磁性体中のマグノン波動関数の画像を用いて機械学習を行い、磁気超格子中のトポロジカルエッジモードの磁性相判別や臨界現象の解析を行った。
また,特に量子伝導に現れる複雑なゆらぎを理解する深層ニューラルネットワークを開発し、ゆらぎに隠れた物理系のミクロな情報の解析を行った。特にコンダクタンスの磁気指紋から,散乱状態を推定することに成功した。また,分担者である齊藤の研究室に完備された量子デバイス作製および測定の実験環境を利用し、ナノ量子細線の量子伝導測定を行い、実際に現実のデバイスにもこのニューラルネットワークが有効であることを実証した。さらにニューラルネットワークを活用し,特に分光学的実験や長時間実時間発展を解析する計算手法を開発応用した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまでは静的なイメージの分類に力を入れてきたが,今後は時間発展を機械学習で解析する。申請者の所属機関である上智大学から広めの研究室が提供されたので,そこをセミナーや研究交流の場として用い,国際的な拠点として活用する。また定期的に研究会を開催して,物性物理学やそれに関連した分野での情報交換を行う。
