Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this project, we have developed a system called KTH Cube for statement credibility assessments in Japanese legal context. The KTH cube is a virtual cube that stores a large amount of information from multiple sources in a 3D space. The KTH-Cube consists of three elements: the KACHINA cube, the TEM and Hamada’s statement analysis. It is a tool which provides cognitive assistance, functioning as an instructional scaffold for everyone in court. Also, we have considered the availability of KTH in Japanese judicial system by researching the American regal rule of evidence about “Computer Generated Animation”. We conclude it is more important to consider how to use KTH as the illustrative demonstrative evidence. And we recognize that it is necessary to clarify the legal nature of KTH in trial and to arrange the rule of evidence in Japanese version.
