Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成29年度は原子層物質における物性研究を推進するとともに5年間の研究の総括を行った。越野らは回転積層グラフェンにおける格子ひずみ効果を研究し、AB積層とBA積層の三角ドメイン構造が自発的に生成されること、さらにひずみによって電子のエネルギーバンドにギャップが開くことを示した。このエネルギーギャップは最近の超伝導実験を含む幾つかの実験において実際に観測されており、現時点ではギャップを説明する唯一の理論である。また越野はLancaster大のMcCannらとともに国際共同研究を行い、少数層グラファイトにおける電子間相互作用の効果を調べた。偶数層グラフェンにおいて実験で観測されている自発的絶縁状態の生成メカニズムを明らかにした。齋藤らは原子層のラマンとバレー偏極に関して理論研究を行い、特に、遷移金属カルコゲナイド、黒リンおよび GaTeを始めとする様々な新しい原子層物質のラマン分光スペクトルの解析を行った。若林らはCVD法で成長した原子層によく見られるドメイン境界での電子状態および磁性を明らかにし、また磁気的ドメイン境界がスピンフィルタの役割を果たすことを示した。青木はMax Planck研究所の岡、北村と共同で、原子層モット絶縁体に円偏光をあて非平衡にすることで、スピンが空間的に特殊な配向をもつ「カイラルスピン状態」が出現することを予言した。斎藤らは2層BNナノチューブ系のバンド構造を理論的に計算し、曲率の効果を利用することにより、浅いドナー準位を実現できることを発見した。
