Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past year research involved characterization of polyfluorene by simultaneous confocal and atomic force microscopy. It was found that application of external pressure by an afm tip causes reversible fluorescence quenching of polyfluorene nanoparticles, and that green emission from the polymer decreases. These finding will have implications in the use of this polymer in flexible devices. Another research involved single-particle study of PL and EL of nanocrystals (NC) of CsPbBr3 perovskites. It was found that conductive matrix enhances blinking of the NCs and decreases their brightness. Application of DC electric field has similar effect, and also produces quadratic Strat shift. These results will be important in development of light emitting devices based on halide perovskites.
