Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当該年度は,以下の項目について以下の成果が得られた.
1.時間軸方向:ヒト胚子の時空間統計モデルを構築した.具体的には,ヒト胚子は時間軸方向に沿ってCarnegie Stage(CS)と呼ばれる複数のステージに分類されている.本年度は,まず,ヒト胚子の眼球位置を対象に,CSごとに統計モデルを構築し,そのモデル間を補間することで時間について連続なモデルを構築し,原理検証を行った.また,死後の特定臓器の体積や内部のCT値の変化も調べ,次年度以降の精密な統計モデルの構築に備えた.
2.空間軸方向:膵臓を対象に,異なるスケールのμCT像を結ぶためのマルチスケールモデルを構築した.具体的には超解像技術を用いて,異なる解像度の画像間を結ぶ統計モデルを構築し,原理検証を行った.また,マルチスケールモデル構築のために顕微鏡像の構造解析を行った.対象は膵管や血管などの管構造であり,染色した顕微鏡像から構造を認識しながら3次元の画像を再構成するアルゴリズムを構築した.
3.解剖構造認識や診断支援への応用:構築したモデルを用いて胚子のCSを推定したり異常の診断支援をするアルゴリズムを構築し,その原理検証を行った.また,死亡時画像に対して,自動認識した臓器内部のテクスチャを解析することで,死因を推定するシステムを開発してきたが,さらなる改良を進めた.具体的には,肝臓と肺を対象に多数のテクスチャ特徴を計測し,機械学習の技術を用いて死因を推定する処理を改良した.

Reason

研究実績の概要で述べた通り,多元計算解剖モデルに関する研究は当初の予定通りに進んでいる.また,そのモデルを用いた臓器セグメンテーションアルゴリズムや診断支援システムの開発も順調に進んでいる.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

次年度以降も計画通りに研究を進める.時間軸方向については,様々な方法を用いてモデル化し,比較を行う.また,モダリティ軸方向の統計モデル化を試みる.さらに,新しいモデルを用いた解剖構造の認識や診断支援の研究も進める予定である.
