Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当該年度は下記の項目についてそれぞれ以下の成果が得られた.
1.時間軸方向:ヒト胚子の時空間統計モデルの高度化を進めた.具体的には,Affine Invariant, LogEuclidean, Wasserstein Geometry, Information Geometryを用いたモデル化を行い,それぞれの優劣を実際の画像データベースを用いて評価した.具体的には,京都大学のヒト胚子データベースを用いてGeneralizationとSpecificityにより評価した.その結果,Information Geometryに基づくモデル化が最適であることを示した.また,Tensor B-Splineを用いたさらなる高度化にも取り組んだ.さらに,昨年度まで実施をしていた眼球位置だけでなく,脳の表面のモデルの構築も進めた.死後のモデルについては,肺の死後時間モデルを作成した.その他,小児の臓器のモデルに関する研究にも着手した.
2.空間軸方向:膵臓のCTを対象に深層学習を用いたマルチスケールモデルについての検討を進めた.また,将来的にCTと病理画像を結ぶために,異なるモダリティの間のモデルについても研究を実施した.そこでは,パッチ画像の辞書ベースのアプローチを採用し,CTと光学画像を結びつけるための統計モデルを構築した.
3.解剖構造認識や診断支援への応用:改良した統計モデルを用いて,ヒト胚子のカーネギーステージの推定を行い,従来よりも精度が向上することを確認した.また,位置変動が大きい死後の臓器に対して,モデルの位置パラメータを精度よく推定する仕組みを新しく開発し,認識精度が向上することを示した.

Reason

既に研究実績においても述べたが,多元計算解剖モデルの構築は予定通りに進んでいる.また,モデルを用いた臓器認識や診断支援についても当初の予定通りに進んでいる.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

次年度以降も計画通りに研究を進める.具体的には,時間軸方向については,複数の構造を同時にモデル化することを試みる.また,時間とともに大きく変化する問題も扱う.空間軸方向については,モダリティ軸との同時モデル化を試みる.さらに,解剖構造の認識や診断支援についても,新しいモデルを用いた研究を進める予定である.
