Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ヒト胚子,小児,死後の人体を対象に,多元計算解剖モデルのための数理とモデル構築に関する研究をすすめ,本年度は以下の成果が得られた.

1.時間軸方向:ヒト胚子については,京都大学や名古屋工業大学と共同で,解剖学的ランドマーク点や臓器の発生,あるいは,複数の臓器表面の入れ子や非重複の制約を導入可能な新しい統計モデルを提案した.ランドマーク点については,中間表現として導入した球面上で予測を行うことで,ランドマークの発生に対応した.また,レベルセットを利用することで,臓器の発生などのトポロジーの変化に対応しつつ,上記の二つの制約を導入することに成功した.小児は,米国のChildren’s National Health Systemとの共同で,サイズがダイナミックに変化する場合の時空間統計モデルについて研究を進めた.数理的最適化の枠組みを利用することで,時間軸方向の整合性を担保可能な新しい方法論を構築し,それに基づいてモデルを構築した.

2.空間軸とモダリティ軸方向:空間軸方向については,福井大学や山口大学と共同で,深層学習をベースに死後人体の超解像の研究を進めた.本年度は,肺の解剖構造の統計モデルを考慮した新しい超解像の方法を提案した.これにより解剖学的により自然な結果を出力できるようになった.また,低解像度と高解像度の対応する画像組を必要としない方法についても提案した.深層学習を用いた超解像では,低解像度と高解像度の画像組を必要とするために収集は容易ではないが,提案する新しい方法を用いることで,対応付けされた画像組が不要となり,収集が容易になると期待される.モダリティ軸方向については,オタゴ大学と共同で,マルチスペクトルCTを対象とした画像処理に取り組み,解剖構造認識のアルゴリズムを開発した.
