Research Abstract

核融合特別研究第4班(超伝導マグネット)では、これ迄の9年間にわたり、核融合用超伝導マグネットの開発に必要な研究として、種々の超伝導線材の開発とその基礎研究、磁束のピン止め機構と電磁現象、及び超伝導マグネット技術の研究を進めて来た。超伝導材料・線材班は初期の頃は線材開発に必要な材料物性の研究から始め、中期に於てはTi添加によるブロンズ法線材の特性向上に成功し、また種々の共通試料に関する研究で、測定方法と線材製造プロセスの標準化を行い、後期は低ACロス導体を含む先進超伝導線材の開発と高磁界特性、耐歪特性、中性子照射効果の評価に力点を置いて来た。本計画研究班は、これ迄の9年間の材料・線材開発の研究を踏まえ、(1)実用化に最も近い先進超伝導材料を集中的にとりあげて、1年間で実用化が可能である事の実証をする、(2)実用並びに近実用線材の特性の向上をはかる、(3)低ACロス導体を開発する、(4)種々の線材・導体の超伝導特性、耐歪特性、照射効果を評価する、事を目的として研究を進めて来た。
以下に主たる成果のみを述べる。
[1]最近発見されたCCE法Nb_3Al線材で、第3元素を添加する事により、第1熱処理の温度を下げ、その時間を長くして、大量生産により適した条件とした。
[2]ジェリーロール法Nb_3(Al、Ge)線材をEB照射によって作製し、高T_cで且つ高磁界での高J_c特性を得た。
[3]CaOるつぼ溶解で得たCuNb鋳塊を伸線する事により、高強度、高伝導率の複合材を得た。
[4]最近ようやくシェブレル相線材で、20T以上の高磁界で10^4A/cm^2以上のJ_c特性が得られる様になった。
[5]核融合炉に実用するためには、超伝導線材の中性子照射効果を評価する事は必須である。
