Research Abstract |
Research and study on guidance methods and these effects to remedy school refusal conditions of pupils. School refusal means these conditions that school boys and girls do not attend every day to school or rarely go to school. In school refusals, are recognized some types, that is, neurostic type, school originated type, truancy type delinquent type, self-confident type, and complex type. From some educational guidance clinics, we have obtained 278 case reports of school refusal (case reporters are our research members and cooperative members). Now we have done almost all researches, and data analysis. To know the effects of guidance and remedial treatments to school refusals, we have analyzed these reports of school refusals. Neurostic type is the most numbers of them, next school originated type, third complex type, fourth truancy type ; delinquent type and self-confident type are few. It is the most important of one's own volition to remedial treatment, to be effective. We have some themes which are related to this main theme, that is, (I) investigation the rate of prevalence of school refusals in school boys and girls, (2) follow up study of prevalence rate, (3) research to the feelings of school refusal tendency of school boys and girls, (4) comparative study of school refusals and school attendant pupils, (5) re -search on guidance and treatment in schools for school refusals, (6) investigation to private guidance clinics for school refusals.
