| Research Abstract |
太陽から中間圏にわたる全領域を1つのシステムとして捉え、相互関係を明らかにする観測研究(STEP研究)を実施するにあたり、本研究は、現在進行中の研究で緊急性を要するものを完成させ、各々の領域にある問題点を整理し、その解決の手法を明らかにする事を目的として進められた。この研究は5つの課題[(i)太陽フレア-の発生機構にかかわる観測結果と理論の整理、(ii)惑星間空間の巨大振幅電磁流体波動にかかわる観測結果と理論の整理検討、(iii)磁気圏境界域とTail領域のプラズマの流の不安定現象の観測と理論の整理検討、(iv)オ-ロラ現象を含む電離圏、磁気圏の結合過程に関わる観測結果と理論の整理検討及び、(v)比較惑星磁気圏的に捉える木星磁気圏の観測と理論の整理検討]を設定し、本年度は(1)各課題での研究作業に重点がおかれ、更に(2)各研究領域及び、複数にわたる領域による研究集会、及び(3)研究体制準備打ち合せが行われた。
(1)各課題の研究:5つの領域で各々初年度の課題として、これはで太陽地球系科学で進められてきた観測結果のとりまとめと、理論の整理検討が進められた。課題(iii)及び(v)では、観測に関し基礎的設備を装置し、付属部分の開発と観測を開始した。
(2)研究集会:(a)惑星間空間における太陽風の問題を検討する太陽風研究会を開催し、観測及び理論の整理を行った。(b)太陽地球系エネルギ-問題にかかわる領域が有機的に結合するために必要なデ-タベ-ス、ネットワ-クについての研究会を開催し具体的方策を検討した。
(3)研究体制準備打ち合せ:各研究領域の研究結果をふまえ、その基礎の上に立って来るべきSTEP計画の具体的実施計画が練られた。これらは、次年度にひきつがれ最終的な実施計画を完成していく。
