Research Abstract	平成2年度に得られた知見のおもだったところは次のようにまとめられる 1.日本のジュラ紀放散虫化石帯を,日本産と外国産の化石個体そのものをクロスチェックすることにより,北アメリカやヨ-ロッパの化石帯と直接比較検討した.完全な国際的化石帯を設定するには到らなかったものの,この研究により,日本と諸外国の化石帯の間にはどの様な不一致があるのかが明らかになった. 2.西太平洋の,現在知られている最も古い海洋底を掘削したODPの資料を検討し,そこにジュラ紀中期までの放散虫化石が見られることを確認した.テクトニックな変形により乱されていない.海洋底の堆積物試料中の放散虫化石帯を検討することにより,日本で作られた放散虫のレファレンスフレ-ムの信頼度を検討した. 4.いくつかの属種,例えば,ジュラ紀のEucyrtidiellumやTricolocapsaの系統学的な研究により,日本と諸外国の放散虫分帯の対比が容易となり,日本で作られた分帯が古生物学的なデ-タにより裏付けされた. 5.アメリカ,メキシコ,ニュ-ジ-ランド,オ-ストラリア,中国,ソビエト連邦,フィリピン,インドネシアなどの国々から集められた,古生代〜中生代の放散虫を含む珪質岩を検討することにより,それぞれの岩石中の放散虫群集の持つ生物地理学的,緯度的,生態学的特徴が明かとなった.具体的には,三畳紀中期〜ジュラ紀前期のチャ-ト,ジュラ紀中期〜後期の砕屑岩類は,中生代後期のアジア大陸縁辺域を特徴づける岩相であることがわかった.
